Woman Dies Four Weeks After Pursuit, Crash In Liverpool

A woman has died four weeks after being injured in a police pursuit and crash in Sydney south-west in December last year.

The pursuit of a utility began about 11pm on Wednesday 10 December 2025, and resulted in a three-vehicle crash when the ute allegedly drove through a red light and struck a sedan and a hatchback at the intersection of the Hume Highway and Moore Street.

A passenger in the sedan – a 21-year-old woman – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

Police have now been notified that the woman died in hospital.

Two other female passengers have since been released from hospital.

The alleged driver of the stolen ute – a 17-year-old male – has been charged with eight offences and remains before the courts.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner as a critical incident team continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident
