Woman Dies in Hospital After Ermington Crash

A woman has died in hospital after a crash in the Greater Western Sydney area last month.

About 12.45pm on Tuesday 24 February 2026, emergency services responded to reports of a crash on Victoria Road, Ermington.

Officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command attended and found a truck had struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian – an 85-year-old woman – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The male driver of the truck was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.

Yesterday (Friday 6 March 2026), police were informed that the 85-year-old woman had died in hospital.
