Woman falls from car, man arrested - Airds

A man will appear in court today after a woman was critically injured after she allegedly fell from a car in Sydney's west yesterday.

About 3.20pm today (Thursday 2 February 2023), emergency services were called to Peppin Crescent at Airds, after reports a woman had been injured.

The 40-year-old was taken to Liverpool Hospital with critical injuries.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, including reports the woman had fallen from the bonnet of a vehicle.

The driver of the car, a 43-year-old man who is known to the woman, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing before being taking to Campbelltown Police Station.

The man was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – drive manner dangerous.

He was refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today (Friday 3 February 2023).
