A woman has died, and a teen has been arrested, following a stabbing in Sydney's south overnight.
About 1.30am (Wednesday 29 January 2020), emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at a home on The Kingsway in Woolooware.
Officers attached to Sutherland Police Area Command attended and located a 42-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to her back.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.
She died shortly after.
A 16-year old male was arrested at the scene and taken to Sutherland Police Station.
A crime scene has been established and investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death has commenced.
