Police are appealing for assistance from the public after a woman was injured while trying to stop her car from being stolen in Elwood overnight.
Investigators have been told two men were seen exiting a white Jeep and were trying to load a BMW sedan onto a trailer in Greig Court about 11.45pm.
The owners of the car drove into the street and saw the attempted theft in progress.
In an attempt to stop the theft they crashed their car into the Jeep and the trailer.
The woman got out of the front passenger side and approached BMW.
The unsuccessful offenders got back into the Jeep and drove off but the victim was hit by the trailer as it passed her.
She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
