Woman hospitalised after pursuit and crash near Hornsby, NSW

Police are investigating after a woman was hospitalised following a pursuit and crash north of Sydney overnight, NSW Police say.

About 8.30pm (Friday 15 December 2017), highway patrol officers attempted to stop a Honda Accord on the M1 at Mt Colah, after it was allegedly detected speeding.

Police activated their lights and sirens and initiated a pursuit. Moments later the driver of the Honda lost control, crashing into a wall and flipping.

The driver, a 48-year-old woman, was freed from the wreckage and airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Inquiries are continuing and police are asking for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
