Woman in court over pursuit with police, NSW

A woman will face court today following a pursuit on the Central Coast.

About 1pm today, officers from Brisbane Water Local Area Command were patrolling the Central Coast Highway at Erina Heights, when they detected a Holden Commodore pass other vehicles in the bus lane, NSW Police say.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle and when it failed to do so, a pursuit ensued.

The pursuit was terminated due to a minor collision with other vehicles at the intersection of Karalta Road and the Entrance Road, Erina.

A short time later, police located a Holden Commodore stopped at the intersection of Avoca Drive and Empire Bay Drive, Kincumber.

Following a foot pursuit, a 29-year-old woman was located in a unit nearby and arrested.

She was taken to Gosford Police Station and charged with police pursuit-not stop, drive whilst licence cancelled, use unregistered motor vehicle, display misleading number plates, not give particulars to other driver (x4), and goods in custody. She was also charged with four outstanding warrants.

She was refused bail to appear at Gosford Local Court tomorrow.
