Woman in critical condition after trailbike crash - Mortdale

Emergency services remain at the scene of a crash that has left a woman in a critical condition in Sydney's south today.

Just after 4am (Friday 29 January 2021), emergency services were called to Martin Place near The Strand, Mortdale, after reports of a trailbike crash.

Police have been told the trailbike with a male driver and female pillion passenger, crashed into a parked car.

The 39-year-old man and 27-year-old woman were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to St George Hospital.

The woman remains in a critical condition, and the man remains in a stable condition and will undergo mandatory testing.

Officers from St George Police Area Command established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
