Woman Killed in Ute, Hatchback Crash Near Narooma

An investigation is underway after a woman died when two vehicles crashed on the state's South Coast this morning.

Emergency services were called to Mount Dromedary Trail, Central Tilba, about 20km south of Narooma, after a crash involving a ute and a hatchback just after 12.30am today (Monday 5 January 2026).

Officers attached to South Coast Police District have been told a man and a woman were travelling in a ute which crashed and rolled; a hatchback travelling behind then struck the crashed ute.

The woman died at the scene while the two male drivers, both aged 32, were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to Moruya Hospital for mandatory testing.

A second passenger in ute – a 30-year-old man – was taken to the same hospital for further treatment.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced; both vehicles have been seized for forensic examination and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
