Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a woman in Diggers Rest last night (9 March), Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to a Fairfield Crescent address shortly after 11pm, where they located a woman’s body.
She is yet to be formally identified.
A 28-year-old man was arrested in relation to the incident about 12.40am this morning near Wilsons Lane, Sunbury.
He is currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.
