Woman missing from Caringbah

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Caringbah in Sydney's south.

Sylvia Hogan, aged 79, was last seen at 9.15am today (Friday 9 August 2019) walking to the corner of Winifred and President avenues, Caringbah.

Officers from Sutherland Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation to find her.

Police and family hold concern for Sylvia's welfare as she is believed to suffer from dementia.

Sylvia is described as being of Caucasian appearance, slim build, about 163cm tall with short grey/silver hair.

She was last seen wearing a red jumper, black pants, black shoes and carrying a black handbag.

Sylvia is known to frequent the shops and cafes in Caringbah.
