Woman nearly five times over the limit, SA

A 51-year-old woman from Encounter Bay has lost her licence after being caught drink driving last night, according to SA Police.

Just after 8pm, Tuesday 6 December, police received reports that a car was driving erratically on Marion Road, North Plympton. Patrols located the car and stopped in on Pembroke Avenue, Netley, the woman submitted to a breath test and returned an alleged positive reading of 0.239.

The woman lost her licence on the spot for twelve months and her vehicle was impounded for 28 days. She will be summonsed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.

Police remind the public drink driving is one the major factors in crashes resulting in serious injury or death. Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspected drink driver by calling the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
