Woman remanded in custody after second high range drink driving charge

On Wednesday 1 May at 10am, officers from the Northern Road and Public order services attended an address in Summerhill after receiving complaints from the public.

As a result a 46 year old woman from Summerhill was charged with exceed 0.05 and being a disqualified driver after returning a reading of 0.324.

The driver was the same driver that had been detected on Sunday 28 April 2019 with a reading of 0.350.

The defendant was charged and remanded in custody to appear in court.

Police have also seized the woman's vehicle for 28 days.
