Woman seriously injured in two-car crash - Luddenham

A woman has been seriously injured in a two-car crash in Sydney's south-west this morning.

Emergency services were called to The Northern Road at Luddenham after a northbound Yaris and a southbound Corolla collided head-on at 5.25am (Tuesday 6 August 2019).

A woman driving the Yaris has sustained multiple injuries and is being treated at the scene by paramedics; it's planned she will be airlifted to Westmead Hospital once she is stable.

A teenage girl travelling with the woman has escaped injury. She is being cared for by her family.

A man driving the Corolla has been taken by road ambulance to Liverpool Hospital suffering leg and abdominal injuries. Police have been told the injuries are not life-threatening.

The Northern Road is closed in both directions between Littlefields Road and Elizabeth Drive by officers from Nepean Police Area Command.

The Crash Investigation Unit has been called in to investigate. It's expected the road will be closed for another two hours at least.
