Woman stabbed during robbery at Forbes

A woman will appear before court today after allegedly robbing another woman at knifepoint in the state's Central West.

Between 12pm and 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 10 March 2021), a 21-year-old woman attended a home on Cedar Crescent, Forbes, where she met with a 20-year-old woman, who was known to her.

About 6pm, the 21-year-old attempted to leave the home when it is alleged the younger woman stabbed her in the arm while attempting to steal her handbag.

It's further alleged the woman continued to threaten her with the knife before chasing her from the home.

Emergency services were notified and the injured woman was taken to Forbes Hospital for treatment.

A short time later, officers attached to Central West Police District attended the Cedar Crescent home and arrested a 20-year-old woman.

She was taken to Forbes Police Station and charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon cause wounding.

She was bail refused to appear before Parkes Local Court today (Thursday 11 March 2021).
