Woman stabbed, man arrested, NSW

A man has been arrested after a woman was stabbed in Chester Hill today, NSW Police say.

Just after 2.15pm today, emergency services were called to a home on Marks Street, after reports of a woman had been injured.

Police arrived and located a 30-year-woman with a wound to her arm.

She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

A 38-year-old man was arrested at a nearby home and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.

A crime scene has been established and inquiries are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
