Woman struck by train at Dudley Park, SA

A woman was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital after being hit by a passenger train at Dudley Park this evening, according to SA Police.

Just after 6pm on Tuesday 31 January, the woman was struck by a train as she attempted to cross the tracks at the Islington Railway Station pedestrian crossing.

A 20-year-old woman from Hampstead Gardens sustained a head injury and several broken bones however, her condition is not considered life threatening.

Outbound trains on the Gawler line were stopped for about 90 minutes while police from the Public Transport Safety Branch investigated the circumstances surrounding the incident.

All train services have since resumed.
