Rangers and the Queensland Ambulance Service are responding to a wongari incident on K'gari that has left a woman with injuries to the lower half of her body.
The incident happened this morning, and the woman was reportedly chased by four wongari into the ocean near Orchid Beach.
She is receiving first aid for her injuries.
The full details of the incident are not yet known, and the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will conduct an investigation.
It is believed she will be flown from the island to hospital.
Residents and visitors to the island are advised to Be Dingo-safe! at all times.
