Police and Safework SA are investigating an industrial accident at Edinburgh last night, according to SA Police.
Just after 7pm yesterday (Monday 14 November) emergency services were called to a plastic factory on Kaurna Avenue after reports of a chemical explosion.
Initial reports indicate that two employees were working with a chemical when it ignited causing serious injuries to both of them.
The two men were rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. A 29-year-old man remains in a critical condition.
Safework SA are investigating the incident.
