Wounding charge in Biggera Waters, QLD

Police have charged a man following an incident in Biggera Waters earlier today, Queensland Police say.

Around 12.30pm, it will be alleged a man entered a Hollywell Road business and walked down one of the aisles before removing two knives from their packages.

It will further be alleged the man then began walking around the store with the knives.

An employee of the shop saw the man allegedly walk toward the rear of the store and upon seeing her, slashed the woman’s clothes with the knives, causing two puncture wounds to her hip.

A 45-year-old Daisy Hill man has been charged with enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, stealing, wounding, wilful damage and trespass.

He is scheduled to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
