Wounding charge in Paradise Point, QLD

A man has been charged after another man was injured during an alleged knife attack in Paradise Point on Saturday morning, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged at around 8.30am on November 10 a 46-year-old man attended an Oxley Drive address.

As the man entered the residence he was allegedly chased by another man known to him who was armed with a knife.

An altercation allegedly occurred between the two men during which the 46-year-old man sustained a number of lacerations to his hand.

The injured man fled the scene and was located by police a short time later before being transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 38-year-old Pacific Pines man who also allegedly fled the scene was today arrested and charged with wounding.

He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
