Wounding Charge, Surfers Paradise

Detectives have charged a man following an investigation into a wounding incident at Surfers Paradise last night, 30 September.

Just after 10pm, police were called to a unit on the Gold Coast Highway, where it is alleged a woman had been wounded by a man known to her during an altercation.

The 48-year-old woman was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable condition.

A 40-year-old Biggera Waters man has been charged with one count of wounding.

He appeared at Southport Magistrates Court today, 1 October.
