Wounding charges at Bargara

Bundaberg detectives have charged an 18-year-old-woman following an altercation at a Bargara home yesterday (October 11) which resulted in a man sustaining several stab wounds.

It will be alleged that at around 7.45pm a woman has entered the rear shed of a Bargara home and assaulted a 18-year-old Kepnoch man with a bladed weapon before fleeing in a vehicle.

Police found the 18-year-old male with deep lacerations to his back, hands and fingers. The man has been flown to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for surgery for non-life-threatening injuries.

A 18-year-old Bargara woman was arrested by police last night and charged with one count of unlawful wounding. She is due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates today.

The man and woman were known to each other.
