Wounding Charges At Torquay

Police have charged a woman following investigations into a wounding at Torquay yesterday.

It will be alleged that around 2.15pm an altercation occurred at unit complex on the Esplanade, during which a man was stabbed.

Upon arrival, a 33-year-old Torquay man was located, and was subsequently transported to Hervey Bay Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following investigations, a 35-year-old Torquay woman was located and arrested at a Colyton Street, Torquay address around 6:40pm.

The woman was charged with one count of wounding.

She was remanded in custody and is due to re appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on 21 September.
