Wounding Incident Charges, Zillmere

Detectives have charged a man in relation to a wounding incident in Zillmere yesterday afternoon, 6 January.

Around 3.30pm, police were called to a business on Zillmere Road following reports of an altercation between two men.

It is alleged a 50-year-old man struck a 35-year-old Bracken Ridge man in the neck with a weapon causing an injury.

The 50-year-old man left the scene prior to police arrival.

The 35-year-old man was taken to hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.

Police arrested the 50-year-old man a short time later on Newman Road in Geebung.

He has been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of utensils used in connection with a drug.

He will appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 7 January.
