Wounding Investigation At Beenleigh

Detectives from the Logan Criminal Investigation Branch investigating a wounding incident at Beenleigh on 19 April are appealing for information from the public.

Just before 8pm, police and emergency services were called to Hugh Muntz Park on Morrison Lane following reports a woman had been stabbed.

Initial investigations indicate a verbal altercation occurred between the 45-year-old woman and a man, before the woman sustained a stab wound to her lower abdomen.

The woman was transported to hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was declared at the park, with a secondary crime scene established at a caravan believed to be linked to the incident.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have relevant information or footage, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
