Wrap With Love Annual Knit-In

Georges River Council

Georges River Council is proud to once again host the Wrap With Love Annual Knit-In, bringing together community members for a heartwarming day of knitting, crocheting, and connection.

The event will be held on Thursday 29 August 2025, in collaboration with the dedicated Kogarah Knitters. Locals of all skill levels are invited to attend and contribute handmade squares that will be stitched into cozy wraps for people in need, both in Australia and around the world.

Since 1992, Wrap With Love has inspired thousands of volunteers to create and donate over 400,000 wraps, offering warmth and comfort to vulnerable communities across more than 75 countries.

Whether you are an experienced crafter or picking up needles for the first time, this is a perfect opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a cuppa and a chat with fellow volunteers.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said "The Knit-In is more than just a crafting event, it's a show of compassion and community spirit.

"Each square, each stitch, carries the warmth and care of our residents, and I'm proud that Georges River Council continues to support such a meaningful initiative."

Donations of wool, squares, or incomplete projects are also welcomed, and free knitting guides are available for beginners.
