Wrong move in Wyndham Vale

Westgate Highway Patrol members have arrested a man following an alleged incident in Wyndham Vale this morning, Victoria Police say.

Police attempted to pull over a blue Holden Commodore on Ballan Road just after midnight as part of a routine intercept when the driver allegedly took off.

A short pursuit was initiated before being terminated for safety reasons.

The driver was arrested shortly after at a residence on Opara Court, Wyndham Vale.

The 22-year-old Wyndham man is facing charges including commit indictable offence while on bail, reckless conduct endangering life and a number of traffic and driving-related offences.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
