Georges River Council's Culture in Colour: Mayoral Art Competition is back for another year, with entries now open.
The competition invites primary school-aged children from across the Georges River area to create artworks celebrating the cultural and festival days that are meaningful to them.
Winning entries will be featured across the Georges River community on posters, flyers, and digital promotions throughout the year. In June, all winning artworks will be on exhibition at Hurstville Library.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "The Culture in Colour: Mayoral Art Competition is a fantastic way for children to express their creativity and highlight the cultural and festival days that are important to them.
"When children see their own culture recognised and celebrated, it helps them feel valued, supported, and proud.
"The competition also gives the wider community the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the diversity of Georges River.
"I encourage all children to take part in the competition and look forward to seeing the inspiring entries."
All winners will be presented with a certificate and a $50 gift voucher for art supplies at the Culture in Colour: Mayoral Art Competition Exhibition Opening Night. More details will be available soon.
