Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following the death of a 10-year-old boy outside his Cobargo home yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 4.30pm today, the young boy got off the school bus that had stopped opposite the front gate to his property on Bermagui Cobargo Road.
As he attempted to cross the road he was struck by a vehicle travelling west.
The boy suffered fatal head injuries.
The 21-year-old driver was taken to South East Regional Hospital in Bega for mandatory blood and urine tests.
Police from Far South Coast will continue their investigations.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
