Youth charged with marking graffiti, SA

A 16-year-old youth from Adelaide’s western suburbs has been charged with two counts of marking graffiti, trespassing and riding in the non-carriage area of a train following a police investigation into allegations aired on an TV network last night, according to SA Police.

Police from Public Transport Safety Branch and Sturt CIB have viewed the complete footage recorded by Channel 9 and arrested the teenager earlier today. He was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court tomorrow.

He was also issued with a six-month long Transit Barring Order.

No charges have been laid in relation to the marking of graffiti on the Brighton War Memorial and the investigation into that matter is ongoing.
