Youth charged with possessing unauthorised pistol in Guildford

Police have charged a 13-year-old boy after he was allegedly found with a black ‘cap’ gun secreted down the front of his pants in Guildford yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 3.15pm today police received information from a concerned member of the public that two boys were walking on Woodville Road and one of the boys appeared to have a black firearm tucked down the front of his pants.

Police responded and stopped the two boys who were still walking on Woodville Road. One of the boys, aged 13, was searched and police will allege they located small black cap gun tucked down the front of his pants.

Both boys were arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station where the 13-year-old was charged with possess unauthorised firearm.

He was given conditional bail and will appear in Parramatta Children’s Court on Monday 15 May 2017.

The second boy was released without charge.
