Youth charged with weapon and property offences - Mitchell Park , SA

A youth has been arrested after he was seen walking down the street in the middle of the night carrying a TV, according to SA Police.

Just after 3.30am a police patrol spotted a teenage boy walking west along Daws Road at Mitchell Park carrying the TV and a brown bag.

The patrol stopped and spoke with the youth, they searched the brown bag which contained a gaming console, controllers, a women's watch and the three large knives.

The boy couldn't explain where he got the TV and other items from and further checks revealed the youth was breaching his bail.

The 16-year-old boy from Sturt was arrested and charged with carrying an offensive weapon, unlawful possession of the TV and other property, plus breach of bail.

The youth has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court later today.

Sturt Police are also conducting enquiries to trace the owner of the TV, watch and gaming console.
