Youths arrested over property damage at Hackham West, South Australia

Three youths were arrested after allegedly causing damage to a southern suburbs community centre overnight.

Police were patrolling the Hackham West area just after midnight when they heard glass breaking at the community centre on Majorca Road.

Three youths were seen running off through a reserve behind the community centre but were quickly located by patrols searching the area.

Police found eight windows had been smashed at the community centre, however, no entry was gained to the premises.

A 14-year-old boy from Glengowrie, a 12-year-old girl from Aldinga Beach and a 13-year-old boy from Huntfield Heights were all arrested and charged with property damage. They have been bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 10 September.
