Four youths have been arrested after an early morning break-in at Smithfield.
About 12.30am Friday 28 November, police were called to an alarm activation at a business on Anderson Walk.
Police will allege that real-time CCTV at the scene showed four suspects breaking in through roller shutters at the front of the premises.
Once inside they smashed up the store and stole glassware before fleeing.
Northern District patrols and Police Dog Duke were quickly on scene and after a short foot pursuit four youths were arrested.
Crime scene investigators attended to examine the scene.
Four boys; a 13-year-old from One Tree Hill, a 15-year-old from Craigmore, a 16-year-old boy also from Craigmore, and a 17-year-old from Elizabeth Downs were all charged with serious criminal trespass and theft. They have been bailed to appear at Elizabeth Youth Court on 16 January.
