A man has died following a single vehicle crash in the state's south.
About 7.50am today (Wednesday 18 February 2026), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, near Illalong Road, Bookham, about 38km south-west of Yass, to reports a car left the roadway and went down an embankment.
Emergency services responded and commenced CPR, before NSW Ambulance paramedics continued treatment.
However, the male driver died at the scene.
Officers attached to The Hume Police District responded and commenced an investigation, with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit.
