2018 7 News Gold Coast Running Festival – road closures

Gold Coast Police would like to remind motorists of upcoming road closures due to the 7 News Gold Coast Running Festival, Queensland Police say.

The Fun Run will be conducted on Sunday 20 May 2018 with over 4,000 competitors expected to participate in this year’s event. The event commences in Stadium Drive, Robina and concludes inside Cbus Super Stadium.

Police have been working with the City of Gold Coast and The Event Crew to ensure the fun run is conducted safely and with minimum disruption to traffic.

Motorists are urged to avoid traveling anywhere along the route during the event due to diversions that will be in place.

Queensland Police officers will be in place at the event accompanied by Traffic Controllers to ensure public safety and to minimise disruption to local residents and businesses as much as possible during the event.

Motorists should be aware of possible delays and traffic congestion at the following road closures on:

Sunday 20 May 2018 from 5am to 11am:

Road closures will occur on the following roads:

• Stadium Drive, Robina
• Cheltenham Drive between Laver Drive and Robina Parkway (Eastbound lanes only)
• Robina Parkway from Gooding Drive to Cheltenham Drive (Northbound lanes only)
