2020 Supernova Superheros Parade Road Closures

Gold Coast police would like to remind motorists of road closures due to the 2020 Supernova Superheros Parade.

The event will be conducted on Sunday 15 March 2020 with a large number of spectators expected to attend this year's event.

Police have been working with the City of Gold Coast and Broadbeach Alliance to ensure the parade is conducted safely and with minimum disruption to traffic. Motorists are to be advised that travelling near the Broadbeach CBD area during this event may results in delays due to the diversions that will be in place.

"Police will be present during the event to ensure public safety and minimal disruption to local residents and businesses throughout this event," Entertainment Precinct Group Inspector Owen Hortz said.

Expect delays and traffic congestion at the following road closures between:

Sunday 15 March 2020

0500hrs to 1200hrs

• Partial road closure of Old Burleigh Road, Broadbeach (between Australia Ave and Queensland Ave);

• Full road closure of Queensland Ave, Broadbeach (between Old Burleigh Road and Jubilee Ave);

• Full road closure of Old Burleigh Road, Broadbeach (between Queensland Ave and Charles Ave);

0700hrs to 1200hrs

• Full road closure of Victoria Ave, Broadbeach (between Gold Coast Highway to Old Burleigh Rd)

0500hrs to 1400hrs

• Full road closure of Surf Parade, Broadbeach (between Capricornia Ave and Charles Ave);

• Restricted access (Local traffic only) of Albert Ave, Broadbeach (between Surf Parade and Old Burleigh Rd)
