2021 Heritage Festival - Our Heritage for Future

Inner West Council Library and History, under the auspices of the National Trust, presents the 2021 Heritage Festival, from 18 April - 19 May.

This year, Council is celebrating the heritage of the diverse Inner West communities, including the local Greek community, in this the 200th anniversary of Greek Independence.

River Song art exhibition, Delmar Gallery at Trinity Grammar School, 144 Victoria Street Ashfield, Sunday 18 April, 10am – 5pm.

A multi-disciplinary group exhibition revealing some of the many changes wrought on the Cooks River from environmental, cultural and historical perspectives.

Guided walk of Victoria Street Ashfield Part 1, Sunday 18 April, 1.30pm – 3.30pm.

Guides from Ashfield District Heritage Society share fascinating early histories of the places, key people and events associated with the street. Cost $5. Book at [email protected]

Mad Landscapes Matter - Tour of Callan Park, Sunday 18 April, 2pm – 4pm.

Hear how the Medical Superintendent of Gladesville Hospital and a visionary architect came together to develop the Callan Park Estate. Cost $25 for adults. Free for children under 12. Bookings essential

Digitising for the Future, Balmain Watch House, Tuesday 20 April 11am-1pm – Saturday 8 May, 11.30am – 3pm. Other days 11am – 3pm.
