We're calling all budding artists aged 50 and over to pick up their paintbrushes and enter the prestigious Grandma Moses Art Competition and Exhibition.

The competition takes inspiration from the life and work of Anna Mary Robertson Moses. Better known as Grandma Moses, she became famous for her evocative artworks that depicted American rural life, after taking up painting in her 70s.

With more than $3,000 in prize money on offer, this competition provides opportunities for all kinds of artistic endeavours, and proves that age is no barrier to success.

Entry forms must be in by Friday 28 January, 2022, and all entered paintings must be delivered on Monday 7 March to the Gosford 50+ Leisure and Learning Centre 217 Albany Street North, Gosford. All entries will be exhibited from Tuesday, 8 March to Tuesday, 10 March.

Prize-winners will be announced at the Centre on Tuesday, 8 March at 10.30am. Entrants and friends are all welcome to a morning tea following the presentations.
