Nominations are open for the 2025 Northern Territory Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker and Practitioner Excellence Awards.

The awards acknowledge the significant contribution Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers and practitioners make to their families, communities and the healthcare system across the Northern Territory.

The opening of the nomination period coincides with the National Day of Recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners held on 7 August annually.

Rus Nasir, Acting Executive Director Aboriginal Health, Engagement and Workforce said Aboriginal health workers and practitioners are central to delivering culturally responsive and safe care across the Northern Territory.
