NT Health Nominations open today for the 2026 NT Allied Health Excellence Awards

The NT Allied Health Excellence Awards which acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding contributions of allied health professionals are now open for nominations.

Allied health professionals perform a critical role in the healthcare system by providing a range of specialist services and support that improve patient outcomes.

The Awards are held annually in October, with nominations open from Monday 6 July 2026 and closing on Sunday 26 July 2026.

There are 9 award categories for allied health professionals, including allied health assistants and technicians, working in any healthcare setting. The categories include:

Early Career ExcellenceExcellence in Clinical PracticeExcellence in Research or Quality ImprovementExcellence in Allied Health Education (new award category in 2026)Excellence in LeadershipTeam ExcellenceExcellence in Community PracticeExcellence in Allied Health Assistance/Technical SupportAllied Health Honour Roll

The awards are open to allied health professionals and allied health assistants or technicians who are employed in the NT at the time of nomination.

An exception is the Allied Health Honour Roll award, which also accepts nominations for allied health professionals who have recently retired.

The award winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Darwin George Brown Botanical Gardens on Friday, 16 October 2026.
