Parkes Shire Council's 2026 Service Satisfaction Survey is now live, marking the first of two key research projects that will help inform future planning and decision-making across the Shire.

The survey follows a recent call-out inviting residents and ratepayers aged 15 years and over to join the Parkes Shire People's Panel - an online community designed to provide regular feedback and help shape the future direction of the region.

Community members who have signed up are encouraged to keep an eye on their email inbox and social media, as invitations to participate in the survey are now being distributed.

Delivered in partnership with Place Score, the survey invites selected participants to provide feedback on Council services. Participants are randomly selected to ensure the results are statistically representative of the community, rather than a fully open public survey.

If you receive an invitation, Council encourages you to take part and share your feedback. Your input will help Council better understand current performance and guide future improvements to services and facilities.

Parkes Shire Mayor Neil Westcott said the People's Panel will play a vital role in shaping Council's future planning and investment decisions.

"This is an important opportunity for our community to have a genuine say in the future of Parkes Shire," Mayor Westcott said.

"The People's Panel allows Council to hear directly from a broad and representative group of residents, ensuring decisions reflect what really matters to our community."

"I strongly encourage residents to take part if invited. Your voice can help shape the services, facilities and places that support everyday life in Parkes Shire."
