Operation Xray Crosscut has intensified efforts to disrupt property offending with more than 21 people charged on more than 97 charges in its first two weeks.

The Capricornia District response commenced in October, with a focus on reducing the number of victims of crime in the Rockhampton community who are affected by property crime.

Offences relate to enter and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, burglary, wilful damage, and robbery.

A number of high-risk property crime offenders have been arrested to date, including a 46-year-old man charged with 20 offences, including enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, and fraud. He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 26 November.

A 28-year-old man was charged with 12 charges, including fraud, receiving tainted property, enter premise and commit, obstruct police and trespassing. He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 28 November.

Capricornia District Superintendent Mark Burgess says police will continue to detect, disrupt and deter criminal activity and hold serious offenders to account.

"Our officers are dedicated to taking strong action against anyone seen causing harm in our communities," said Superintendent Burgess.

"This District-led operation will focus on proactive efforts to disrupt property offending in homes and businesses, and ensuring our community is safe and feels safe."

"We encourage members of the public to report any and all suspicious behaviour directly to police."
