An investigation is underway following an armed robbery in Sydney's CBD this morning.
Officers were called to a hotel on Little Pier Street at Haymarket about 5.40am (Monday 2 February 2026), after being told two men had threatened staff before stealing a safe.
Police have been told one of the men was armed with a firearm; however, there have been no injuries reported.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation is now underway by detectives attached to Sydney City Police Area Command.
Police are appealing for anyone in the vicinity who may have seen suspicious activity - or who may have relevant dashcam vision - to call Day Street Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
