$69K Awarded in 2025-26 Community Grants Program

QCCP entrance - 257 Crawford Street

Each year, our Annual Community Grants Program provides funding to support non-profit community organisations based in or connected to our region.

This year, Council provided $32,000 in Category A funding and $37,000 in Category B funding across 42 community groups.

Category A grants provide funding for charitable projects aligned with our Community Strategic Plan and Category B grants assist with Council facility hire costs.

High Street Care received $3,000 under the Category A program to provide emergency support to local families and individuals in financial crisis.

'High Street Care really appreciates the support we get from QPRC,' said volunteer Tania Schoer.

'This funding will enable us to continue to provide emergency food, fuel, and pharmacy vouchers to those struggling in our community. Our services are designed as a three-day emergency supply and rely solely on donations.'

The Country Women's Association (CWA) Bungendore Branch received $900 under the Category A program to deliver four free community education sessions about cyber safety and scam awareness.

'We gratefully acknowledge the support of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, whose funding has enabled CWA Bungendore Branch combined with Bungendore Medical Centre to deliver a series of workshops for Bungendore and surrounding communities,' said CWA Bungendore Branch Secretary, Clare Camilleri.

'This initiative is helping local citizens build confidence and awareness in navigating the online world safely and responsibly.'
