Located in the heart of Rhodes, the 9,200-square-metre facility will provide the community with a state-of-the-art gym and creche, indoor sports courts, multipurpose venues for hire, an early learning centre, community lounge, café, and more.

"I'm proud to announce the upcoming opening of Rhodes Recreation Centre on Monday, 20 October 2025, delivering world-class facilities to meet the needs of our growing Rhodes community for years to come.

The Centre will launch with the ground-floor community lounge and 'The Canvas' venue for hire, as well as the gym and indoor sports courts located on the second floor.
The Early Learning Centre and Gymnastics Centre are on track to open in time for the 2026 school year, with the café and allied health tenancies to open according to contractor timeframes.
"The gym will feature top-of-the-line cardio equipment and a weights room, group fitness and spin studios, and child-minding services for members through an onsite creche," added Mayor Megna.
"Presales for the gym will open in the coming weeks, and we encourage the community to explore the flexible and competitive membership options on offer."
With less than three months to go until opening, the City of Canada Bay is busy completing fit-outs, system installations, and recruitment ahead of the launch of the landmark community facility.
