A new chapter for Robinvale

A new chapter for Robinvale readers will commence on Monday, 18 January 2021 as the doors of the new Robinvale Community Library open to the public.

As the pages turn, the community will bid farewell to the Mobile Library service that previously visited Robinvale each Thursday.

The Mobile Library service to Robinvale will conclude on Thursday, 17 December 2020.

Swan Hill Rural City Council Libraries Manager, Camille Cullinan said that the Mobile Library service had been visiting Robinvale since 1960.

"I am sure many members of the community will miss seeing the Mobile Library coming into town each Thursday.

"The service will leave behind some fond memories and I am sure it could even tell a tale or two itself," Ms Cullinan said.

Ms Cullinan said that as we farewell the Mobile Library service, we welcome a new permanent resource, the Robinvale Community Library.

"We are so fortunate to have the library opening, it means our book loving community will have so much more flexibility when borrowing and returning books.

"We are delighted to be sharing this new resource with the community," she said.

Ms Cullinan said during the libraries opening week there would be several activities including story time, holiday activities and tours.

"We are in the process of planning for opening week activities and we look forward to sharing information and updates on our website soon.

"We are hoping to include bilingual activities in our opening week program as well," Ms Cullinan added.
