All ACT Government turf sportsgrounds will be closed for training today, Friday 14 October 2022. Match play is unaffected and can proceed. Sportsgrounds will re-open tomorrow, Saturday 15 October 2022, for training and match play.
Closures include turf sportsgrounds but exclude the Melrose and Nicholls synthetic fields and the Woden athletics track.
The decision has been made to close for training today to ensure match play can proceed across the weekend given the rainfall overnight. In the interests of safety, sportsground users are encouraged to assess each ground on its own merits as conditions may vary.
The ACT Government thanks sports peak bodies and users of the sportsgrounds for their ongoing patience during this unseasonal wet weather.
