ACT To Align With NSW On Anzac Day Public Holidays

The ACT Government will align with New South Wales by declaring both Saturday 25 April 2026 and Monday 27 April 2026 as public holidays for Anzac Day in 2026.

The Government has decided to align the ACT's public holiday arrangements with NSW, recognising strong cross‑border workforce and family connections and reducing confusion for workers and employers.

Anzac Day will continue to be commemorated on 25 April, with all dawn services and commemorative activities taking place on the Saturday. Monday will be an additional public holiday.
